This study, supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Science Foundation (NSF), presents a spatial deep learning framework for detecting abnormal driving behaviors among older adults using telematics data. It applies a Grid Index based spatial augmentation method combined with deep neural networks to accurately distinguish normal and abnormal driving patterns. The work highlights how spatial and temporal learning can enhance road safety, improve insurance risk analysis, and support early detection of cognitive impairment.
